Senior Lecturer

Dr. Peeps Gonde is a Senior Lecturer in the Department who joined the University as a Teaching Assistant in 2004. He became a full-time lecturer in 2005. He served in various University assignments including departmental course and examinations coordinator; Departmental and Faculty ICT Representative; Member of the Senate ICT Committee; Member of the University Council; Member of the University Senate; Member of the Council Development Council; Acted as Director of Physical Planning Works and Estates, Information and Communication Technology Services; and Centre for Continuing Education; Chairman – Department of Fibre and Polymer Materials Engineering; and is also the current University Senior Proctor. Dr. Gonde has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals.

 He participated in the NUST: Zimbabwe E-Readiness Survey, Association of Breast Surgery (ABS) UK -  Factors that Affect the Diagnosis and Treatment of Breast Cancer in Matabeleland South and Bulawayo Metropolitan Provinces, Department for International Development (DFID)– Textile Technologies for the Empowerment of Rural Women in Zimbabwe, Bulilima Rural District Council/W.K. Kellogg Foundation -  Community Development Program. He also served as an ICT Consultant in the Zimbabwe Attorney General’s Office.

Research interests: Information and Communication Technologies for Small to Medium Enterprises, Project Management, Value Chain Systems, Digital Marketing, and Internet of Things (IoT).
