Dr. Kudzai Mushunje is a civil engineer and academic with extensive experience in structural and materials engineering, currently serving as a Lecturer at the National University of Science and Technology. He holds a PhD and MSc in Civil Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe. His research focuses on innovative construction materials, particularly the use of recycled tyre rubber in structural concrete, with publications in reputable journals and international conferences. Dr. Mushunje has contributed significantly to curriculum development and quality assurance in engineering education, including national programme reviews and the development of minimum bodies of knowledge for civil engineering in Zimbabwe. In addition to academia, he has undertaken various consultancy projects across Southern Africa, specialising in structural assessments, infrastructure design, and project supervision.
