The Information and Public Relations Department markets the University at Careers Days which are usually organised for High Schools by the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare. An officer from the Department leads a University team comprising representatives of Faculties and other administrative departments like Admissions/Student Records and Student Affairs.

At these careers meetings, all schools that attend get copies of the NUST Corporate brochures, Faculty and Departmental brochures as well as the NUST yearbook
