About Course

The Digital Skills Licence is an IT literacy qualification designed to enable people to
demonstrate their competence in computer skills. The course aims to increase your knowledge
and confidence in IT, as it covers the key concepts of computing, their practical application and
use in the workplace and society in general.
Its aims are:
• to raise the general level of competency in IT;
• to improve productivity at work;
• to enable employers to invest more efficiently in IT; and
• to ensure that best practices and quality issues are understood and implemented.
Entry Requirements: No experience is necessary, we require just your interest and desire

to learn.

Duration: 7 Weeks, with daily Monday to Friday classes and the option to
study either in the morning (8:30- 11), afternoon (2-4), evening (5-
7) or weekends (Saturday – 8:30 am – 4 pm)

  2. IT Concepts
  3. MS Word (Word-processing)
  4. MS Excel (Spreadsheets)
  5. MS Access (Databases)
  6. MS PowerPoint (Presentations)
  7. Internet and Cloud Services
  8. Digital Lifestyles
  9. Computer Security and Privacy


Assessment: Hands-on lab activities are an essential element of this course. Students are expected to pass both practical and written exams.

Certification: Qualifying students shall be certified by NUST-CCE and shall receive
Certificates of Proficiency, Completion or Attendance depending on pass
mark.
