About Course

In this hands-on course, participants will gain extensive experience with web-design tools and the syntax and semantics of scripting languages. You will learn how to design professional feature rich cross-browser web-sites.

Entry Requirements: Training in an IT introductory course e.g. Digital Skills Licence,

ICDL or IT Essentials

Duration: 5-7 Weekends - Sat and Sun (Not continuous)
Lessons run from morning to late afternoon.

1. Web Design Concepts
2. WordPress Installation and Configuration
3. Installing and Managing Themes
4. Content creation using Pages
5. Writing Blog Posts
6. Creating and Editing Widgets
7. Installing and Activating Plug-ins
8. Search Engine Optimisation

Assessment: Hands-on lab activities are an essential element of this course. Students are expected to pass both practical and written exams.

Certification: Qualifying students shall be certified by NUST-CCE and shall receive Certificates of Proficiency, Completion or Attendance depending on the pass mark.
