We welcome you to the Department of Library and Information Science at the National University of Science and Technology. The Department’s thrust is to offer degree programmes that are grounded in the management of information and knowledge that seek to contribute to the development of librarianship and other information-related professions. As such, our teaching and research centres on the dynamics of the interaction between information technology and the factors in the environment within which the technology is applied. Our undergraduate programmes focus on the purview of information systems. In this endeavour, the objective is to produce graduates with a strong technical skills set and a deep understanding of the operations of businesses and other socio-technical systems concerned with managing information systems and databases.
