Short Biography

Mr Chiname joined NUST in 2011 as a Teaching Assistant. Before joining NUST, he had worked in risk management and administrative positions for various organisations, both in the public and private sector, and both at junior and middle management levels. Was appointed to Lecturer in 2015, and he has held that post up to now.

Hamilton is member of the Technical Committee for the Financial Sector at the Standards Association of Zimbabwe. The Committee meets monthly and is responsible for the development of national quality standards for the local finance industry. He also engages and exchanges information with the informal sector operators on social media, mainly WhatsApp. The nature of exchanges includes:

  • Legal requirements for formalisation;
  • Tax implications of formalisation; and
  • Other advantages and disadvantages of formalisation
