1. Short Biography

Prof. Cornelias Ncube is an Associate Professor of Development Studies at the Institute of Development Sciences. His teaching and research specialisms span a wide range of interconnected domains, including international development, gender analysis in monitoring and evaluation, African politics and civil society, governance, the politics of development, and human rights-based approaches to development. With a strong track record of impactful scholarly research output, Prof. Ncube is a respected expert in conducting rigorous impact evaluations to assess the effectiveness of development interventions. He has extensive experience in integrating gender analysis into monitoring and evaluation frameworks, ensuring that the unique needs and perspectives of women and marginalised groups are reflected. Prof. Ncube is also a skilled capacity-building practitioner, leveraging his expertise to strengthen the knowledge and skills of development practitioners and policymakers. His work in knowledge management, encompassing research, analysis, and the translation of evidence into actionable policy insights, has contributed to the formulation of more effective, evidence-based development policies and programs.
