The Department of Sustainable Food Production, within the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, focuses on advancing food production systems that are environmentally responsible, economically viable, and socially equitable. The department equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to address the challenges of global food security, climate change, and resource management by promoting sustainable farming practices, innovative agricultural technologies, and efficient resource use. Through a combination of theoretical learning and hands-on experience, students explore topics such as organic farming, agroecology, precision agriculture, and food system sustainability. The department fosters a holistic approach to food production, preparing graduates to lead the transformation of agriculture into a more sustainable and resilient industry that meets the demands of a growing global population.
