Mr Chilumani Khesani Richard is the Acting Chairperson of the Department of Agricultural Information Technology in the Faculty of Agricultural Science and Technology. He holds a BSc and MSc in Computer Science from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Zimbabwe, PGDHE (NUST Zimbabwe), MTH-ST (CUZ, Zimbabwe). Mr Chilumani is a Computer Scientist with over 23 years of experience in the design and implementation of Information and Communication Technologies for automated operations and knowledge-based businesses. He has vast knowledge in user support, software development and system analysis and design.

Skills and competences:

Software development, E-Learning, System Administration, System Analysis and Design, Data Analysis, Modelling and Simulation. Conducting software research projects. Undergraduate research supervision. Team participation and effective communication and negotiation techniques.

Research Interests:

Artificial intelligence, Ontology based AI systems, business intelligence systems, supply chain management information systems, visualisation and computer simulations.
