Dr. Knowledge Mushonga is the Acting Chairman of the Department of Sustainable Food Production in the Faculty of Agricultural Science and Technology. He is a Lecturer in Plant Science/Plant Pathology/Plant Physiology. Dr. Mushonga obtained his PhD in Plant Science with the Student Representative Council Honorary Colours for Academics on Excellent Academic Achievement in 2023 at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He also holds an MSc in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, a BSc Honours in Applied Biology and Biochemistry and a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education all from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Zimbabwe. Dr. Mushonga joined NUST in May 2009 as a teaching assistant and was promoted to lecturer. He is also a lecturer in the Department of Applied Biology and Biochemistry in the Faculty of Applied Sciences at NUST.
