MASTER OF ENGINEERING DEGREE PROGRAMME March 2020 INTAKE

DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL AND MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING - MASTER OF ENGINEERING DEGREE PROGRAMME: MARCH 2020 INTAKE

DURATION OF PROGRAMME IS 24 MONTHS (4 SEMESTERS) 

Offered, respectively, through the Bulawayo and Harare Cohort Programme thus:

Bulawayo Cohort - (Day Time Block Release) 

Day time class blocks, one block in a month per course, during the semester. The taught courses are offered in 10 Blocks spanning over three semesters and a dissertation during the 4th (last) semester.  

 

Harare Cohort - (Evening and Weekend day time school) 

Week-Evening and Weekend-Day Time School. The taught courses are offered in 10 Blocks spanning over three semesters and a dissertation during the 4th (last) semester. A Block runs during day time at weekends and evenings during the week, one block in a month per course.

 

OPTIONS, RESPECTIVELY, OFFERED THROUGH BOTH COHORTS ARE:

  • Master of Engineering in Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management (MEOM)
  • Master of Engineering in Manufacturing Systems and Operations Management (MSOM) 

Candidates must indicate which option (MEOM or MSOM) and the Cohort (BULAWAYO or HARARE) they are applying for. 

Entry Requirements 

  • The normal entry requirements are an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in the fields of Industrial, Manufacturing, Production, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics and Fibre and Polymer Materials Engineering.
  • In some cases, qualifications deemed to be equivalent to the Honours degree award are accepted.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have at least two years of industrial experience.
  • Shortlisted candidates may be interviewed.   

The expected commencement date for the Master of Engineering Programme Classes for the adjusted, initially scheduled February/March 2020 Academic year, is now April 2020.

 

 A non-refundable application fee of $50, in cash, must accompany the Application Form.

  3. c) Relevant academic and/or professional Certificates and Transcripts.
  4. d) Detailed Curriculum Vitae, which should include names and addresses of two referees.

Completed, physical, Application Forms can be deposited at the Admissions Office at NUST Main Campus in Bulawayo; or at the NUST Harare Office on the Ground Floor at the ZIMDEF House at Rotten Row, near the Harare Magistrates Courts and Interpol Buildings.
