“Our presence at the Global Digital Forum is not only a tremendous honour, but a reflection of the calibre of innovation and forward-thinking emerging from NUST,” said one of the participating NUST students. “We are here to contribute, learn, and represent the untapped potential of young African innovators.”
The NUST team is actively engaging in high-level panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and international exhibitions covering critical themes such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and innovation in developing economies.
Their participation is the result of a rigorous selection process and underscores NUST’s growing footprint on the global stage, particularly in the fields of science, technology, and innovation. It also aligns with the university’s strategic vision to promote global engagement and solutions-oriented research.
In addition to attending plenary sessions, the students will present their digital solutions aimed at addressing real-world challenges in mining, local governance, and education. The Global Digital Forum features keynote speeches by executives from leading international tech firms, as well as a platform for young innovators to build transnational collaborations and share best practices in the use of digital tools for sustainable development.
As the two-day event unfolds, the NUST students are not only flying the university’s flag high but also demonstrating the potential of African youth in shaping a digital future. The students are expected to return with valuable insights, new networks, and strengthened capacity to lead digital transformation initiatives at home.
