DEPUTY BURSAR: FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION (1 POST)

Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates should hold, in the first instance, an Accounting Degree and should, in addition hold a MSc in Accounting or an MBA (Finance and Accounting), or equivalent.
- A professional qualification (CA, CIMA or equivalent) would be an added advantage.
- Candidates should have a sound knowledge of standard accounting principles and practices, strategic planning, budgeting and budgetary control, working knowledge of computerised accounting systems and income tax laws.
- Candidates should have functioned at senior managerial level in either public or private sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities
The post involves among other things, assisting the Bursar in the performance of his functions, including, but not limited to:
- Management and Administration of Investments
- Administration of Salaries and Benefits
- Investments and Cash flow management
- Departmental Human Resources Management
- Research and Postgraduate Office Management
- Preparing and monitoring of departmental budgets and financial performance plans
- Supervision and management of staff
- Any other duties as assigned by the Bursar.

This is a senior position requiring a highly skilled professional with integrity. The successful candidate must be mature, hardworking, reliable and prepared to work over and above the call of duty. In addition, the candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
